Access Denied No Longer – Good Friday – 2015

Published April 2, 2015 by Ray Bell in Next Sunday

As Jesus breathed his last, the temple curtain was torn in two, from top to bottom.
By the shedding of his blood, and the tearing of the curtain, that is “his flesh”, as the writer of Hebrews puts it, Jesus opened ‘a new and living way’ to approach, worship and dwell with God. We can now draw near to him, “with a true heart… in full assurance of faith… with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience… and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Rejoice with us in this glorious truth as we gather to remember and worship our crucified Lord this Good Friday.
